“The more we looked at this building, the more we became intrigued. First there is the ground plane of natural flowers kind of rolling up to the site. Then the building appears to be a collage, and then as you get closer it becomes a very nice pattern of different colors and stain and openings. Four hundred feet long of what appears to be twenty by twenty concrete panels didn’t have a relentless feeling to it. The exterior is very, very intelligent. It is all about the skin. The skin has become perhaps one of the most important subjects for contemporary architecture. This skin is very beautiful – it has a pictorial quality.”
